Packaging krb5-wallet

Introduction

The source package is maintained on salsa.debian.org. The git repository is at:

    http://salsa.debian.org:whm/krb5-wallet

The latest source is in the upstream/latest branch. The main branch is used to build the Debian packages.

Build Steps

1. Clone the repository.

2. Create local copies of the upstream/latest and pristine-tar branches.

    git checkout -b pristine-tar origin/pristine-tar
    git checkout -b upstream/latest origin/upstream/latest
   

3. Create a tarbar from the upstream/latest branch.

    git archive HEAD -o ../krb5-wallet_1.5.tar.xz --format=tar.xz
   

4. Create or update the release/ tag.

    git tag release/1.5
   

5. Change to the main branch and import the tar ball. Note, if the version being imported has already been imported then the upstream/ tag will need to be deleted.)

    git checkout main
    gbp import-orig ../krb5-wallet_1.5.tar.xz
   

6. Build the package.

    gbp buildpackage
