download instantclient-basic-linux32-11.2.0.2.0.zip and instantclient-sqlplus-linux32-11.2.0.2.0.zip from oracle.

unzip the files into a directory somewhere and set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point at that directory

run sqlplus. The command line will look like:

    sqlplus -L 'user/pass@//host:1535/service_name'
  • Modify db configuration for sunetid to handle idle timeout
  • Repackage sunetid and install it in test
    • Try using graphviz for hardware pictures.
